J. Kent Thorne, MD, FACS, specializes in complex heart valve replacement and repair and is a recipient of the prestigious Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Fellowship from Boston Children's Hospital.
Dr. Thorne was born and raised in Salt Lake City and earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Utah. Following graduation, he earned his medical degree at the University of Utah School of Medicine. After completing his internship at the University of California Los Angeles, Dr. Thorne returned to the University of Utah for his surgical and cardiothoracic residency training. He also completed a fellowship program in pediatric cardiac surgery at the Boston Children's Hospital.
Dr. Thorne is a board-certified surgeon who works hard to provide his patients with the care they need to resolve or diminish heart conditions and experience improved health.
