Minimally invasive surgery
When using minimally invasive surgical techniques, our surgeons can perform procedures using much smaller incisions than with traditional surgery. They do this by using a small camera and thin, specialized surgical instruments to assist in the operation.
Minimally invasive surgery offers patients a number of benefits when compared to traditional surgical methods, such as:
- Fewer complications
- Less harm to surrounding tissue
- Less postoperative pain
- Reduced blood loss
- Reduced scarring
- Shorter hospital stay
- Quicker recovery time
Robot-assisted surgery
One option we offer for minimally invasive surgery is advanced robot-assisted surgery. Robotic surgery is performed by our highly experienced, specially trained surgeons who use a system of advanced computer and robotic technologies.
During the procedure, your surgeon is completely in control of the robot. Through a high-tech control module, surgeons move small operating instruments that allow for extremely precise movements. The surgeon operates from a console just a few feet away from the operating table, and their hand movements translate to the robotic technology.
